Contacting Patients & Log Action
What does Log Action do?
Log Action records a contact with a patient about a treatment plan, and what should happen next.
What should I record after contacting a patient?
Record how you contacted the patient, what happened, where the treatment now stands and the next step.
What does Action Type mean?
Action Type records how the interaction with the patient happened.
What does Contact Result mean?
Contact Result records what happened when you tried to contact the patient.
What does Treatment Outcome mean?
Treatment Outcome records where the treatment stands after the interaction.
What is a Barrier?
A barrier is the main reason currently preventing or delaying a Not Booked treatment from going ahead.
Which Barrier should I choose?
Choose the barrier that best describes the main reason the treatment isn’t going ahead right now.
What should I write in the Note field?
Write a short, factual note about the interaction and any agreed next step.
What patient information should I avoid putting in Markwell notes?
As a practice guideline, keep clinical information in your practice-management system and use Markwell notes only for treatment-recovery activity.
How do I schedule a follow-up while logging an action?
With the Treatment Outcome set to Not Booked, choose when the next follow-up should be, then save the action.
What do the 1 week, 2 week and 4 week buttons do?
They set the follow-up 7, 14 or 28 calendar days after the Date entered in Log Action.
How do I choose my own follow-up date?
Select Choose date, pick a date on or after the action’s Date, then save the action.
What happens when I select No Follow-Up?
No Follow-Up records the action without scheduling another follow-up. If the treatment already had an active follow-up, saving the action closes that follow-up and does not replace it.
Where can I see everything that has happened with this treatment?
Open History for the treatment plan to see the activity recorded for it.
