Troubleshooting
My CSV won’t import. What should I check?
Work through a few quick checks on the file, its columns and its data.
Rows Markwell can’t use are listed as Invalid Rows and left out, while the valid rows still import.
How it works
- Check the file is a CSV exported from your practice-management system, not an Excel file renamed to .csv.
- Check each row has a treatment (or procedure) and a Date Presented. Rows without them can’t be imported.
- If Markwell asks you to match columns, check the column mapping.
- If Markwell can’t read a date, check the date format in the export. Treatment values must be numbers that aren’t negative; a zero value is accepted.
- If the entire import fails, re-export a clean CSV and try again.
