Can I import an Excel file instead of a CSV?

No. Markwell currently imports CSV files, not Excel (.xlsx or .xls) files.

If your treatment data is in Excel, save or export it as a CSV file first, then import the CSV.

Good to know

Renaming a file from .xlsx to .csv isn’t enough. The file’s contents must actually be in CSV format.

What type of file do I need to import?
Markwell imports treatment-plan data from a CSV file exported from your practice-management system.
Where do I get the file that Markwell needs?
The file comes from your practice-management system.
What should I do if my CSV has the wrong columns or format?
If Markwell can’t recognize your file’s structure, you may be able to match the columns yourself with Column Mapping, or go back and select a corrected CSV.
How do I import treatment plans into Markwell?
Export a treatment-plan CSV from your practice-management system, import it into Markwell, then work the new report’s Treatment Plans, starting with Action Required.
