History, Archive & Searching

How do I search for a patient in Markwell?

Use Search patient in the top navigation to find a patient by name or patient ID.

Search covers active and archived reports, and includes treatment on Long-Term Hold as well as closed, Booked and Completed treatment. The summary lists the patient’s treatment plans with their status and value.

How it works

  1. Select Search patient in the top navigation.
  2. Enter part of the patient’s name or patient ID.
  3. Select the patient from the results.
  4. Review their treatment-plan summary.

Good to know

  • The summary isn’t the same as a treatment’s History. It doesn’t show actions, follow-ups, status changes or contact notes. For detailed activity on a treatment, open that treatment’s History.
  • Search requires the treatment to have been imported with a patient name or patient ID. Treatment imported without these fields won’t appear in patient search results.
